I've been attending 4th service in church recently because i'm just too lazy to wake up for morning svc. But i really didnt regret going this time as pastor is back to preaching about church revival, one of the topics i'm most interested and passionate about. God really opened my eyes yesterday as i was once reminded that it all always begins with the unseen. Who actually saw the spiritual groundwork firmly anchored before every miracle revival? We are so blessed to see only the manifestations..Thank God for MMR..Thank God for pastor. Though he's imperfect, his heart is so perfect...

When we talk about a church revival, it is so easy to marvel and be amazed at the transforming power of God. Then we long for our home church to experience the same kind of revival..That when we step into the sanctuary, we feel the presence of God so strongly and once PNW starts, everybody jus bust into energetic praise and the atmosphere is just full of faith. But pastor's message reminded me that all these begins with the unseen struggles to make wrong things right, to humbly change what is not pleasing to God.

Revival doesn't just happen when we engage powerpack musicians, hosts to rara the crowd and dynamic pastors to convict the hearts of the people using emotional appeal with soft music in the background. So what if we FEEELL the revival coming? In the end, if our hearts are not changed, all these can be quite an awful facade. Sick people ain't healed, broken families ain't restored, our bad habits are not corrected. Experience corporate breakthrough in church begins with experiencing personal breakthroughs. Sometimes we yearn so much for the result yet we don't put in effort to change firstly, ourselves.. What needs to be changed first is not the church..Beware of your pride. Yes. You.

Is this the message we are going to send to the world? What about silence and solitude, repentance, healing the sick, caring for the ostracized, covering one another in brotherly/sisterly love, praying for personal needs and breakthroughs?

Is what we SEE more important than what God can do? Is that ALL God can do?

I'm so glad lighthouse doesn't plunge into prioritizing the outward appearance of the church, but really focus on sincere prayer for a real breakthrough.

Indeed, before anything great can happen, we must be patient, focus on the unseen first. Yes we may be laughed at, not appreciated, not satisfied with our current standings. But i believe God is going to look at all the sacrifices and grant us what we pray for eventually.

It all begins with a realisation. That we are unworthy, we are wrong in some ways, we have failed God yet He is worthy, never will He be wrong and He never plus chopp stamp fail us. But He chose to carry our sins and sickness away so that we may be like Him. Goes back to the gospel, right?

Realisation, repentance, return and then REVIVAL...

If only we just spend a little bit more time praying..Things will be so different.

We have a loooong way to go..I make no apology if i have made your heart heavy today..But soon what results will be tears of joy instead of fear..It's never too late to change..God is still waiting for you..Calling out to His children..My sons...My daughters...I miss you so much...

Have we all woken up from our long slumber? What are the things you need to change today?

Where is our faith today?

yepz, so right for the part regarding personal breakthroughs! manz! i wonder how it'll be like for the youth to have a revival when they begin to first humble themselves and pray and seek God's very face!
